Dr. Shirley Blanc earned her Honours Bachelor of Science and her Doctorate of Optometry designation from the University of Waterloo in 2001. Over the years, she has worked in various clinical settings, including laser eye surgery centers conducting pre- and post-surgery assessments. In addition to providing general eye care and contact lens services, she dedicates a significant portion of her practice to assessing and treating patients with visual problems due to brain injury, including concussion and stroke, and also has an interest in high-performance sports vision. She is a Fellow and Executive Board Member of the Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association (NORA), and is a member of the International Sports Vision Association. She is an Advisory Board Member and course contributor for Complete Concussions.

Dr. Blanc has provided vision rehabilitation and high-performance vision services for athletes at all levels, including varsity, national, Olympic, and professional. Her unique expertise in both rehabilitative and high-performance vision has enabled her to customize solutions for her patients and athletes in determining areas of dysfunction, but also how to maximize one’s vision potential for the task that needs to be performed. She worked in the village polyclinic at the 2015 Toronto Pan Am games as part of an Optometric team, conducting eye examinations for international athletes and support staff.

Dr. Blanc has conducted many speaking engagements for organizations including: Brain Injury Canada, Sports Physiotherapists of Canada, Ontario Association of Optometrists, Professional Hockey Athletic Trainer’s Association, and the University of Toronto. She served as Conference Chair for NORA in 2019, and has contributed to NORA website educational content for patients and professionals. Dr. Blanc has been an external vision consultant and a co-investigator with the University of Toronto David L. Macintosh Sports Medicine Clinic on visual manifestations of sport related concussion. Dr. Daniel Demian has had a lifelong passion for high performance. Throughout university, he was successful academically and athletically until a concussion derailed him. He was discouraged by the absence of viable options for rehabilitation. Previously resilient and vibrant, he could sense self-doubt creeping in. Callum pursued a BA in Kinesiology and Physical Education at Laurier University (2013-2017). While at Laurier, Callum played on the men’s varsity soccer team and frequently volunteered in the Athletic Therapy clinic working with varsity athletes from a variety of teams in their rehab. In his fourth year, Callum completed a thesis on obstacle avoidance strategies during various forms of locomotion under the supervision of Dr. Cinelli.

Callum has developed his skillset as an exercise practitioner by attaining his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certificate from the National Strength and Conditioning Association, completing a two year personal trainer mentorship program, and subsequently coaching exercise in individual, group, and team settings for the past 6 years. Callum has experience with pediatric clientele, working as an instructor in a Youth Training Academy and becoming the head coach of a local rep soccer team for three consecutive years.

Callum returned to school in 2021, attending Queen’s University for a MSc in Physical Therapy. A three month international clinical placement at Amar Seva Sangam in the south of India stands out as the most unique and fulfilling therapeutic experience during his studies. On this placement Callum got to work with patient’s with a variety congenital and acquired neurological conditions including cerebral palsy, spinal cord injuries, and stroke.

Now working as a Physical Therapist Resident, Callum combines his in-depth knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, and movement principles with manual therapy techniques to achieve sustainable improvements with his patients. Eric Sanderson has an osteopathic manual practice located in downtown Toronto. His word of mouth based practice developed and grew from producing results with difficult cases was not dependent depend on marketing campaigns. He has consistently focused on providing clients with a wide variety of manual osteopathic techniques to address a variety of health issues. As a healthcare provider, Eric has been practicing since 1998. Since 2006, he has been teaching seminars on joint normalization and cranial technique.

The goal of Eric’s varied technical scope and background is to address problems that originate in the connective tissue (fascia), or have a neurological origin, or a combination of issues involving both systems.

He graduated from the University of Toronto in 1998 with an Honours Bachelor of Science, majoring in Human Biology, and minoring in Physiology and English. He also has an M.Sc. in Anatomical Sciences from Queens University.

Eric began his pursuit to study osteopathy and graduated from the Canadian College of Osteopathy with a Diploma in Manual Osteopathy (DOMP) in October 2005. He produced a thesis entitled “The Dural Connection: A Qualitative Investigation to Enlighten The Current Understanding of the Dura, the Meninges, and their Significance to Osteopathy”.

Eric then went on to graduate from the Académie Sutherland Ostéopathie du Québec à Montreal in September 2007, with a Diploma in Osteopathy (Diplome en Ostéopathie), for which he completed his second thesis, entitled “Osteopathic Treatment of the Dura Mater to Enhance Ocular Convergence” which was presented in front of an international jury of Osteopaths.

In 2014, Eric completed a post-graduate program in Traditional Osteopathic Studies in Biodynamic Osteopathy, under Dr. James Jealous DO, in Ashland Oregon.

Eric has also completed a post-graduate program focused on Evolutionary Medicine in the Osteopathic Field (EVOST) in Belgium under the direction of Jean-Paul Hoppner and Max Girardin.
